I met Shanei and Strauss through my photographer, Charles Johnstone. At our first meeting my mandate to Shanei was, please an album out of the ordinary.  And she delivered just that. Their ideas are young, trendy and very professional. Throughout the process they were always willing to accommodate any changes and to top that, very pleasant.

Shanei’s placement of the photo’s created a story that as you started to page through the album it creates a feeling of expectation. To sum up the design that Born Intelligence created was a visual narrative of my whole wedding.

They didn’t deliver a wedding album but a wedding coffee table book. It is absolutely stunning. Lastly but not the least, the day I went to fetch my “ wedding book”, the way they presented it was so special I will never forget it. Those small details makes a successful company, a great company.

OUR JOURNEY WITH MAXIT COMMUNICATIONS, CREATING THEIR CORPORATE DESIGNS AND WEBSITE

 

Maxit Communications is a Virtual Assistant service. They provide administration and lifestyle support services to companies and professional individuals, freeing them up to focus on their core business. They specialize in sales and negotiations and can be outsourced for a variety of tasks. Maxit Communications can be an income-generating asset to your company as well as an invaluable admin and support supplier.

 

The founder and owner Pat is a long-time friend of Born Intelligence and asked us to do the corporate design for Maxit Communications. They wanted something simple but also an eye-catching hue to support their passion for their job. For the Corporate Design we used a dark charcoal, spicy red and white as base hues. The Maxit website consists of a nautical theme which compliments their base colours. The nautical concept supports their core business concept and moulds their life-saving services.

Nutriday’s Activation

 

Nutriday wanted an Activation to encourage sales for their new yogurts they recently launched. They wanted it to be interactive and fun for their customers but also to remind them of their childhood and came up with Nutriday Says.

We worked closely with Booming to create an interactive dispenser, to praise the customers that does what Nutriday says. It turned out that Nutriday wanted you to do a lot of fun things in order to get yogurt and encouraged you to do it with full force! One of the things Nutriday wants you to do is to GIVE NUTRIDAY A HUG. What a special way to connect with your customers.

 With tight deadlines we worked hard and built an HTML5 based game. The customer could control the actions from a keyboard. To keep things simple we used basic illustrations that are true to their brand colors.

To keep the screen interactive, we have various fruit falling into different kinds of yoghurt. When a person comes close to the screen they had to press the button and the controller selected a game. The games consisted of  7 variations including; Shout Nutriday, Give Nutriday a Hug and How fast can you push the button.

As the client jumped around or screamed for Nutriday, the controller could decide if they did a good job. If not, the controller could prompt them to try harder, or motivate them. When the client succeeded, Nutriday played a song and the client was gifted with a prize.

The development of the Activation Game was the brainchild of our Head Developer Strauss Bornman and the designs were done by Shanei.

THE BLUE CRANE VILLA

Born Intelligence has offered my start-up company professional and tailored digital design services that have aided my business to grow its online presence and reputation.

 

With reference to their offering, Born Intelligence have used a number of exciting digital marketing tools in order to increase The Blue Crane Villa’s online presence. Through the use of Google “magic” and Google Maps our business is now visible to anyone searching for accommodation in Hartbeespoort, which has increased my private bookings by approximately 90%

The company used beautiful designs (and attention-to-detail) when building our website:- They worked mindfully with my expectations to build the website which has been uniquely tailored to my preferences. JENNA CLIFFORD MAGAZINE ADVERT IN SOUTH AFRICA DELUXE

 

Shanei from Born Intelligence was appointed by Jenna Clifford Designs to conceptualize and design a print advert for the high-end international publication, South Africa Deluxe as introduction of the jeweller’s new daisy collection. Jenna Clifford, the brand founder and director of Jenna Clifford Designs, has a very deep love of nature and enjoys working this passion into her art. A love florals, especially roses is a trademark of this iconic South African brand.

It was this intertwining of the brand and nature, as well as the symbolic nature of the daisy collection that inspired the initial concept for the artwork. The word “daisy” comes from the old English for “day’s eye”, as it opens at dawn and closes at night. Resembling the sun, it hints towards the start of a new day – a new beginning.

Shanei and the team wanted the artwork to reflect the deeper meaning behind the jewellery collection. A dark background was chosen to represent the breaking of dawn. The summery hues added by the jewellery combined with the bright frangipani’s to elude to the magic on an early summer’s morning. Crisp, clean and honest.

The contrast in bright splashes of colour against the dark background allowed for a bold yet playful space where daisy bracelets could hang from the frangipani offshoot.

Jenna Clifford believes in a deeper symbolic meaning behind everything and the same applies to the Love Me Daisy Collection. The range consists of multiple handcrafted pieces in 18ct white, yellow and rose gold, masterfully set with the highest quality gemstones. It embodies the essence of femininity, love and light. All characteristics embedded in herself and her brand, and which had to be reflected within the artwork.

Jenna Clifford is a world-renowned jeweller, known for her unique customised creations. Although we live in a world that is moving towards all thing digital, she still finds value in utilising print media when the fit is right. The team at Born Intelligence would like to agree.

Print media can offer longer lasting exposure, and are still one of the most widely distributed and trusted forms of media.  It was confirmed by a study, that readers don’t watch or listen to another medium whilst reading their magazine. They offer their undivided attention to the article in front of them, holding ample benefits for advertisers.

COCA-COLA POCKET SIZE APP

 

The Coca-Cola Pocket Size APP was designed because Coca-cola was looking for a fresh face to lauch their new 330ml bottle. A selfie competition was launched. The idea was to choose regular people for their Pocket size campaign. Thus Activation Stations were placed all over the country for anyone to use the selfie APP.

The Coca-Cola Pocket Size APP worked like this:

When the user activated the app, it prompted you for your info, followed by a countdown to capture and submit your selfie.

To complete your submission you had to refer a friend via sms from the APP.

Our involvement:

The development of the APP was the brainchild of our Head developer Strauss Bornman while he was still working for his previous company.
